Job summary

Hotel Management & Consulting, Inc. in Hammond, LA, seeks a friendly Guest Attendant to be the face of our property, handling reservations, check-ins, and guest requests with professionalism, courtesy, and a proactive attitude.

You will support front office operations, guest services, laundry, cleaning, and basic sales activities, while following safety procedures, maintaining property standards, and adapting to a changing schedule in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year in customer service; hotel operations experience preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive in solving problems.
  • Willing to work a changing schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Front Office Operations: Reservations, renewals, check-outs, and check-ins; review and approve front office paperwork and reports.
  • Guest Services: Ensure guest needs are met; conduct tours for potential guests and close sales; fulfill special guest requests.
  • Laundry Duties: Complete all laundry responsibilities including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels; maintain clean laundry area.
  • Cleaning & Maintenance: Vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing public areas, ensure supplies stocked.
  • Sales & Marketing: Assist with in-house guest sales and marketing initiatives to increase occupancy.
  • Emergency Procedures: Know and follow property emergency procedures and ensure security for property and guests.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

Hotel Management & Consulting is seeking a positive, professional, and problem-solving Guest Attendant. In this highly visible customer service role, you will be the face of our property and the first point of contact for our guests.

Primary Duties:
  • Front Office Operations:Daily property operations including reservations, renewals, check-outs, and check-ins. Review and approval of front office paperwork and reports.

  • Cleaning & Maintenance:Perform cleaning tasks as needed, such as vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing public areas. Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and distributed across the property.
  • Sales & Marketing:Assist with in-house guest sales and marketing initiatives to increase occupancy.
  • Emergency Procedures:Know and follow property emergency procedures and ensure the security needs of the property and guests are met.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year in customer service; hotel operations experience preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive in solving problems.
  • Willing to work a changing schedule.
Physical Requirements:
  • Perform tasks involving kneeling, squatting, standing, sitting, bending and twisting for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 20lbs regularly, occasionally up to 50lbs.
