Job summary

Akron Children's is seeking a Part Time Guest Attendant to create a positive welcoming experience at key hospital entry points. The role requires flexibility to work 6am–6pm shifts, including weekends and holidays, onsite at Beeghly Medical Park.

The position emphasizes exceptional guest interaction, helping visitors navigate the campus, screen access, and coordinate with security as needed. High school diploma required; healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience is strongly desired.
• Healthcare exposure is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a resource and coordinating link in assigned areas, proactively offering directions.
• Screens and facilitates access for patients, families, and visitors.
• Summons supplementary security assistance to quell disturbances and prevent unauthorized access.
• Demonstrates outstanding human interaction and communication skills.
• Remains proactive, enthusiastic, helpful, and supportive.
• Works independently or as part of a team.
• Handles occasional stressful situations or tense interactions.

Summary

The Guest Attendant delivers a positive welcoming experience at critical points of first and last impressions- the entries and exits of the hospital campus. The Guest Attendant sets a positive, helpful and supportive tone in every interaction.
