ALL ABOUT SMALL FORMATS

We enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is in stock, available, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor in our smallest format stores. Experts of service, operations, process, and efficiency, this team is responsible for being proficient in all areas of the store to complete duties such as, but not limited to, cashiering, stocking, presentation, and price accuracy. You’ll provide exceptional guest service, customizing each experience and anticipating guest needs.

Role Benefits
  • Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest-first culture across the store
  • Experience in retail business fundamentals including: department sales trends, pricing and promotion strategies, inventory management, and process efficiency & improvement
  • Support in daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals
Typical Responsibilities
  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
  • Observe and understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact. Follow body language and verbal cues to tailor your approach.
  • Engage with guests in a genuine way, asking questions to better understand their needs.
  • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store, and specific to your area, to resolve issues and enhance their experience.
  • Thank guests sincerely and let them know we appreciate their shopping at Target.
  • Assist guests while completing workload with minimal disruption
  • Support all departments to ensure the sales floor is stocked, zoned, and ready for guests
  • Push and stock product to the sales floor
  • Implement adjacency changes, transitions, revisions, and sales plans across departments
  • Conduct weekly price changes and ensure signage is accurate for all departments
  • Perform inventory audits and system scans to maintain accuracy
  • Support major transitions and store initiatives
  • Maintain store cleanliness and safety, including trash, restrooms, carts, and spill management
  • Accurately execute pulls and backstock from all departments
  • Process inbound deliveries to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Complete daily and weekly backroom audits
  • Operate power equipment if certified
  • Keep backroom organized and follow safety guidelines
  • Follow processes carefully, monitor progress, and prioritize tasks
  • Maintain a culture of safety, ethics, and compliance
  • Support guest services such as cashiering, order pickup, and Drive-Up, ensuring compliance with laws
  • Perform other duties as needed based on business needs
