Job summary

Guardian Industries (a Koch Company) is seeking an IT Intern for Summer 2027 in DeWitt, IA. The internship offers hands-on experience across IT, production, and engineering teams, working on high-availability solutions and security programs.

The 12-week program runs mid-May to early-August 2027. Interns gain real-world exposure, participate in networking events, and learn under our Principle-Based Management culture while contributing to global projects.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a degree or alternative program (e.g., 2-year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.).
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
• Eligible for full-time employment by or before summer 2028.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT teams and production/engineering to implement highly available production and process solutions.
• Support business and process network and security infrastructure.
• Assist with patching and maintenance of plan process workstations, laptops and servers.
• Work with plant management to ensure IT systems meet needs and security standards.
• Troubleshoot OT network or OT systems issues proactively.
• Assist in admin tasks related to servers, storage, and backups.

What You Will Do

Koch Industries is undergoing rapid digital transformation and multi-million-dollar projects that are calling your name. With Koch Industries, you will be joining a team that is keeping us at the forefront of technology.

Some examples of responsibilities or projects include:

• Collaborate with other IT teams and/or production and engineering teams to implement and maintain highly available production and process solutions in the following areas:
• Business and Process network and security infrastructure
• Embrace company PBM culture.
• Work with and through other IT teams to ensure that company cyber security policies are set and maintained.
• Business and Process local servers and Utility workstations
• Process compute, storage, backup, and DR infrastructure
• Embrace change and challenge existing methods to seek out opportunities for improvement to create value for us and our customers
• Proactively troubleshoot and solve OT network or OT systems issues
• Administer and support software patching on plan process workstations, laptops, and servers
• Collaborate with plant management

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
