Job summary

Faith Life Church in central Ohio seeks a Christ-centered K-12 Substitute to support teachers across Elementary, Middle, and High School. You will facilitate education for K-12 students when the primary teacher is unavailable and ensure curriculum coverage for all required subjects.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (associates or bachelor’s preferred) and an Ohio teaching license or permanent non-tax certification, plus 1 year of teaching experience. A background check is required.

Our Kindergarten through 12th grade substitute teacher is responsible for facilitating the education of K-12th grade students while their primary teacher is unavailable. The ideal candidate will successfully lead the learning process of all subjects required for this age group. This position is responsible for instructing on the curriculum and ensuring all relevant duties are maintained and managed.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in preferred
• A Current Ohio Teaching License, or a Permanent Non-Tax Certification
• One Year of Teaching Experience
• All Guardian Academy Staff Members will be asked to comply with both BCI and FBI background checks.
• Attends in person or online one weekend service weekly.
• Excellent communication with students, parents, teachers, and staff

• Flexible in fulfilling needs of Guardian Academy when needed (i.e., covering another class if able) and adaptive to last-minute changes
• Demonstrate the ability to receive and apply constructive criticism.

Time Requirements

• The Guardian Academy school day for teachers is Monday through Friday 7:45am to 3:45pm. A substitute would need to be available to work these hours.
