Positive Impressions Childcare III is seeking a GSRP Associate Teacher to lead a class of preschool students through the school year. You will assess current academic levels and design instruction to meet shared and individual needs, fostering a passionate learning environment.

You will collaborate with the team to implement HighScope curriculum, ensure child safety, and document progress. The role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• CDA credential required.
• Minimum 2 years of preschool experience.
• Strong knowledge of child development principles.

• Adherence to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Problem-solving and mediation skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in HighScope trainings within one year of hire.
• Ensure daily activities reflect the mission and goals of the program.
• Assist individual children in need of special attention with additional support as needed.
• Assist with physical safety and emotional security of the children.
• Plan and implement educational activities for birth to 5, including COR goals.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher on the Observation Record.
• Daily programming for birth-5 using HighScope curriculum and COR.
• Create a safe, engaging learning environment and promote social relationships.
• Observe progress with anecdotal notes and share reports with parents/guardians.
• Plan and document Child Outcome activities and learning plans for each child.
• Plan and conduct two conferences and two home visits per child per year.

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and experienced GSRP Associate Teacher to join our team! You will be leading a class of students through the school year, assessing their current academic level, and designing instruction to meet students' collective and individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in HighScope trainings within one year of hire and maintain quality of program curriculum.


• Responsible for ensuring that daily activities and interactions reflect the mission and goals of the program.


• Assist individual children in need of special attention, including provide and model additional individualized support as needed.


• Assist with physical safety and emotional security of the children.


• Plan and implement a program of educational activities for children birth - 5, including curriculum goals as written in education component plan.


• Work together with the lead teacher as a team in planning and implementing the Observation Record.


• Daily programming for children birth -5 utilizing the HighScope curriculum and COR (Child Observation Record)


• Create a clean, safe environment that is conducive to learning, promoting social relationships.


• Observe the accomplishments of the children on a regular basis, using daily written anecdotal notes, and reports progress to parents/guardians


• Plan and document Child Outcome activities, support strategies, and interactions according to COR data and gains each quarter.


• Plan, implement, and update ongoing individual learning plans for each child in the classroom.


• Plan and conduct two conferences and two home visits per child per year.

Minimum Qualifications

• CDA


• Minimum 2 years experience working with preschooler


• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
