Job summary

Daifuku North America is seeking a qualified GSE mechanic in SeaTac, WA to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on ground support equipment and facilities. The role requires reading electrical and hydraulic schematics, using your own hand tools, and following safety procedures in a busy airport environment.

You will mentor junior mechanics, work non-traditional schedules including weekends, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED is required.
• Minimum 2 years experience as heavy, medium or light duty mechanic.
• Ability to read and understand basic electrical/hydraulic schematics.
• Must have own set of hand tools common to the trade.
• Depending on the location, travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and repair of ground support equipment and facilities.
• Executes complex maintenance assignments involving automotive, electrical, systems and related trade skillsets.
• Trains, mentors and guides Jr. GSE Mechanics.
• May have input on hiring and promotion of others in the mechanic employee group.
• Reads and interprets repair manuals and schematics.
• Works in tight spaces with appropriate PPE and fall protection.
