Job summary

Unifi Maintenance at RDU is seeking a GSE and Fleet Maintenance Technician capable of diagnosing and repairing diverse vehicle systems—from engines to HVAC—while supporting fleet reliability and employee shuttle service. The role spans entry to senior levels, with training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience and knowledge of servicing vehicles.
• Ability to work independently with supervision as required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Four to six years of fleet maintenance experience.
• Multiple ASE certifications.
• CDL Class A or B with Passenger Endorsement.
• Experience with DOT standards.
• Refrigeration, HVAC, or advanced electrical certifications.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, diesel, gasoline, electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, and computerized vehicle systems.
• Perform engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, and drivetrain repairs.
• Use diagnostic software and testing equipment to identify faults.
• Conduct inspections to ensure safety and DOT compliance.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to Mechanic I and Mechanic II employees.
• Assist with repair planning, parts procurement, and inventory control.
• Verify the quality of completed repairs.
• Support emergency roadside and operational repairs as required.
• Recommend process improvements to increase fleet reliability and efficiency.
