Job summary

TDA is seeking a Ground Service Equipment Technician for Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Charlotte, NC. This full-time role covers maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across GSE such as tugs, GPUs, and service carts. No aviation experience is required; we provide training.

Candidates should have basic mechanical experience, own hand tools, and a valid driver’s license. The schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays with on-call responsibilities. 90-day probation.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical experience in automotive, diesel, or related fields required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and maintain ground support equipment (GSE) used in daily airport operations.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximize uptime and reliability.
• Repair or replace defective components to restore safe operation.
• Build and assemble mechanical components as needed.
• Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety standards.
