Job summary

Motus Integrated Technologies in Talladega, AL is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 1st shift (8 AM to 5 PM) to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on all manufacturing equipment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, adhere to safety requirements, and operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and cranes while supporting lean manufacturing activities and TPM initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years maintaining automated machinery
• Experience in controls diagnostics and repair; Allen Bradley experience required
• Ability to read machine drawings and control schematics
• Willingness to work overtime and any production shift
• Willingness to travel for short term periods (<10%)
• Strong mechanical background

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on all manufacturing equipment

• Participate in problem-solving groups, Kaizens, and lean manufacturing activities
• Participate in the maintenance department efforts towards achieving key measures
• Ability to support processes such as thermal forming, adhesive and assembly processes
• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks, aerial lifts, and cranes

Maintenance Technician -1 st shift 8 AM to 5 PM

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

We have an exciting opportunity at our GSA Talladega Facility for a problem solver, a change agent and ready to take our maintenance department to the next level! The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on all manufacturing equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on all manufacturing equipment
• Perform manufacturing-related equipment PM’s
• Adhere to safety requirements
• Safely troubleshoot live electrical panels
• Participate in problem-solving groups, Kaizens, and lean manufacturing activities
• Participate in the maintenance department efforts towards achieving key measures
• Ability to continuously learn to support various processes, such as: thermal forming, adhesive and assembly processes
• Operation of Powered Industrial Trucks, aerial lifts, and cranes

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in controls diagnostic, troubleshooting and repair. Multi brand experience preferred. Allen Bradley experience required.
• Previous experience – Minimum of 3 years working with and maintaining automated machinery
• Strong mechanical background
• Willingness to work overtime as needed and work any production shift
• Willingness to travel for short term periods (<10%)
• Ability to use basic machining tools, powered hand tools, and other maintenance-related equipment
• Ability to read machine drawings and control schematics

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Fabrication/tooling experience is a plus
• Familiarity with robots and robot controllers is a plus
• Electrical journeyman card is a plus
• Experience working with a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system is a plus
• Experience working with smart cameras (i.e. Keyence, Cognex, Banner) is a plus
