Job summary

Gobble Stop is seeking a part-time sales associate for our locally-owned convenience store. You will greet customers, operate the POS, and handle payment methods while ensuring smooth transactions.

You will also manage lottery transactions, fuel equipment operations, interact with vendors, stock shelves, and maintain cleanliness. The role requires reliability, basic math, and strong communication in a fast-paced retail environment.

This is a part-time on-site position in Marion, VA.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years old.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass background check.
• Work independently – without supervision.

• Creating a positive customer experience
• Operating the electronic point of sale system & collecting various payment methods
• Handling lottery transactions & equipment
• Operating fueling equipment in a responsible, safe manner
• Interacting with product vendors
• Managing and stocking product inventory
• Maintaining cleanliness standards

Requirements

• Must be 16 years old

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry boxes and/or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to climb, balance, reach, grab, stoop, crawl, bend, and crouch for extended periods
• Ability to use close, distant, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and visual focus
• Ability to smell and identify odors
• Ability to clearly hear and interpret voice commands and telephone communications
