Job summary

D4C DENTAL BRANDS, INC. is seeking a skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support the dentist, deliver excellent patient care, and perform expanded functions as allowed by state regulations.

This is a new office with potential to grow into a full-time position as the practice expands. The EFDA will assist during procedures, prepare and maintain instruments, and ensure infection control standards are met while educating patients before and after treatment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• EFDA/EDDA certification and dental X-ray certification required.
• Nitrous oxide certification, as required by the state.
• CPR certification.
• Experience in a dental or medical setting preferred.
• Must be able to perform coronal polishing.
• Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures.
• Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and treatment areas.
• Follow all infection control and safety procedures.
• Perform expanded functions as permitted by state regulations.
• Take dental X-rays and impressions.
• Place and contour restorations and apply sealants, as permitted.
• Perform coronal polishing.
• Prepare and educate patients before and after treatment.
• Provide basic oral hygiene instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
• Help maintain dental supply inventory.
• Support the overall efficiency and patient experience of the office.
