Job summary

Energy Transfer in Houston, TX is seeking an Analyst - Growth Projects to support cost controls on capital projects. You will work with Engineering Project Managers to track budgets, invoices, and forecasts.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, construction management or business, strong Excel skills, experience with financial software, and the ability to communicate findings to management. Travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, construction management, business, or related
• Proficient in MS Excel and financial software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to challenge assumptions professionally
• Ability to work with Analysts and Project Managers to resolve project issues
• 2–5 years (specialist/analyst) or 5–8 (senior) or 8+ (lead) relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Provide cost controls support on projects and evaluate cost impact of scope changes
• Code and track invoices, verify rates per contract, monitor actuals and commitments
• Update monthly project forecasts and deliver relevant metrics
• Assist in tracking and managing purchase orders, contracts and related re-classes
• Prepare quarterly accruals and maintain project documentation
• Handle ad-hoc requests and collaborate with project team as needed
