Job summary

Wellspoken, an AI-powered app, is seeking an eager intern for a Richmond, VA-based summer program. You’ll work on growth, operations, and community initiatives while seeing how a fast-growing startup moves ideas to customers.

You’ll gain hands-on ownership, collaborate across teams, and have the option to continue part-time remotely in the fall if you excel. The internship runs 8 to 10 weeks, with in-person start and potential remote continuation.

THE INTERNSHIP

You will work directly with our team on the things that matter most to a fast-growing company: reaching new users, understanding the ones we have, building community, and making sure everything runs smoothly. No two weeks look the same. You will be trusted like a full team member, not managed like a traditional intern.

Most internships you are a spectator. Here you are a participant. You will see firsthand how a real company grows, make decisions that actually matter, and leave having built something you can point to. Your work will reach real users and move real needles.

If you need rigid structure this is probably not the right fit. If you are the kind of person who sees a problem and goes and solves it, you will thrive here.

YOUR FOCUS

Your work will span growth and operations. You will help us grow smarter and run better, keeping an eye on what is working across marketing and acquisition while also making sure the business runs smoothly day to day. You will connect dots, close gaps, and make sure the things that need to happen actually happen.

COMPENSATION AND PERKS

$22/hr, full-time (40 hrs/week), late May through early August (8 to 10 weeks). Strong performers will be invited to continue part-time (10 to 15 hrs/week), fully remote, through the fall semester. All interns receive full Wellspoken Premium access and a letter of recommendation upon successful completion.
