Job summary

Starbucks is seeking a Project Manager in Little Rock to lead store development projects from budgeting through construction, aiming for on-time openings and high-quality execution.

The role requires extensive experience in retail/construction project control, strong leadership, and proficiency with MS Project/Procore/Smartsheet. You will coordinate budgets, schedules, and compliance, while collaborating with government authorities and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of project control for construction projects, including permitting and approvals.
• 3+ years managing 20+ concurrent projects in a retail or QSR environment.
• 4+ years in a role bidding and negotiating for construction projects.
• 3+ years evaluating budgets, budgeting, and planning for construction projects.
• 3+ years using Microsoft 365, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and project/construction mgmt software.

Responsibilities

• Expand and manipulate budgets in alignment with timeline requirements for new store development and renovation projects.
• Manipulate and monitor project schedules, progress, and costs to ensure timely and efficient completion.
• Identify, communicate, and control all issues and risks affecting the assignment.
• Communicate mission status to move functional teams appropriately and on time.
• Control and coordinate all phases of the improvement process with moving functional groups.
• Screen preferred contractor performance through improvement levels.
• Maintain established improvement schedules to allow store openings on time.
• Oversee ordering and monitoring of materials and equipment.
• Conduct due diligence online and demonstrate best practices.
• Address concerns and maintain regular compliance updates on any critical issues.
• Manage the approval segment of the development process and ensure all necessary approvals are obtained prior to the production phase.
• Build and maintain relationships with government authorities to ensure seamless safe openings.
• Assist in achieving safe improvement and Operations goals by collaborating and contributing in planning and strategy meetings.
• Plan and manipulate construction methods to ensure projects align with the organization’s business goals.
• Embodies and promotes a growth mindset, contributing to a positive and productive culture and coaching others to do the same.
• Fosters teamwork through clear and practical communication in the project team and coaches others to do the same.
