Responsibilities
- Lead all marketing initiatives to align with Barbarian’s positioning and amplify client campaigns.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies that support business goals, leveraging industry trends and cultural insights.
- Create, manage and organize GTM assets, including case studies, video reels, and other sales enablement materials.
- Manage and update the agency website and Substack, ensuring content is current, engaging, and optimized for SEO/SEM.
- Oversee agency and employee-level award entries, managing submission calendars and crafting compelling entries.
- Maintain and update agency profiles & subscriptions across industry databases.
- Own and execute social media channels and broader strategy with compelling, innovative content to boost engagement and drive incremental market traction.
- Introduce and implement new initiatives & thought leadership content, reflecting Barbarian’s voice and expertise in market.
- Manage relationships with PR and other relevant strategic media & technology partners.
- Monitor analytics and reporting across all owned channels, using insights to optimize performance and communication effectiveness.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, identifying & actioning opportunities for impactful campaigns and thought leadership.
- Manage marketing budget and expense tracker.
Growth Strategy & Business Development
- Partner with leadership to execute brand-building strategies, pitches, and proposals aligned with industry insights and client needs.
- Identify, qualify, and prioritize new business opportunities to expand Barbarian’s client base and market presence.
- Elevate proposals and case studies with creative and visual enhancements.
- Attend industry conferences & events to grow our network and visibility.
- Strategically plan outreach and partnerships to enhance brand awareness and promote agency capabilities.
- Support new business pitches and activities periodically, bringing marketing expertise to the process.
- Support and maintain relationships with prospects, championing the agency's work and creating strategic outreach plans.
Desired Experience & Qualities
- 4+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within an agency or fast-paced creative environment.
- Demonstrated ability to self-direct, prioritize, and execute marketing initiatives from concept to completion.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills
- Experience producing content for a range of formats (web, social, PR, awards)
- Strong pulse on market and emerging trends to identify & act on opportunities that align with Barbarian’s growth objectives
- A true team player — someone who’s naturally curious, highly motivated, and ready to roll up their sleeves to help the team win, no matter what it takes.
- Outstanding project manager with obsessive attention to detail and proactive follow through
- Deep understanding of social & digital channels, SEO/SEM, and content marketing.
- Experience creating assets (creds, case studies, one pagers, awards writeups)
- Familiarity with agency databases and industry platforms.
