Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Lake Orion, MI is seeking a Supply Chain Operations Associate to support specialized operational functions within a SCS logistics operation. You will interact with carriers and customers as needed and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or GED required.
• One year or more in logistics, warehouse or related field.
• One year or more of supervisory experience preferred.
• WMS experience is preferred.
• MHE experience is required.
• OSHA familiarity is preferred.
• DOT and Hazmat knowledge is preferred depending on account.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily/shift goals of facility and work group(s).
• Assist with and train hourly staff.
• Lead and train employees through policy and process training.
• Make location-related decisions including demand planning and customer interactions.
• Support system and process training and perform admin functions.
• Identify and solve operational issues using continuous improvement and LEAN.
