Job summary

OrthoArizona is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead all financial strategy, planning, accounting, treasury, and reporting for our multi-site orthopedic practice. You will partner with the CEO and Board, translating clinical and growth strategy into sound financial plans and clear performance insights.

You will build a scalable finance function as the practice grows across nearly 30 clinics, two ambulatory surgery centers, imaging, therapy, and urgent care services, while ensuring GAAP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 5+ years in a senior finance leadership role in healthcare.
• Experience in a multi-site physician group, ambulatory surgery center, or comparable outpatient healthcare setting.
• Working knowledge of physician compensation models, payer reimbursement, and healthcare revenue cycle metrics.
• Strong command of GAAP, financial statement preparation, budgeting, and internal controls.
• Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills; experience with GL/ERP and BI reporting tools.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to physicians, boards, and non-financial leaders.
• Proven leadership of finance teams and a track record of building processes that scale.
• Ability to travel locally to clinic and surgery center locations across the Phoenix metro area.

Responsibilities

• Strategic financial leadership: Partner with the CEO and Board to set long-range financial strategy and align capital allocation with priorities.
• Board and owner reporting: Prepare and present monthly and quarterly results, forecasts, and KPIs to leadership and shareholders.
• Growth and transactions: Lead due diligence, deal modeling, and post-close integration for de novo sites and acquisitions.
• Team leadership: Build and develop the finance function and ensure scalable processes.
• Planning, accounting, and reporting: Own budgets, rolling forecasts, P&L analysis, and GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Audit, tax, and controls: Oversee audits, tax compliance, and internal controls across entity structure.
