Job summary

State Bank seeks a customer-oriented associate to support the customer service, sales, and paying/receiving functions at our community banking center. The role involves greeting customers, guiding them to relevant products, and maintaining accurate cash handling while coordinating with other departments for seamless service.

The position requires at least a year of related experience and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Moderate reading, writing, and grammar skills.
• Proficient analytical and mathematics skills.
• Proficient communicative and interpersonal relations skills.
• Proficient eye‑hand coordination.
• Ability to operate various office machines.
• Ability to lift approximately fifty (50) lbs. of coin.
• Visual and auditory skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets and serves customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Maintains awareness of new business opportunities with customers; refers to sales staff as appropriate.
• Meets or exceeds referral and sales goals for business and consumer clients.
• Handles customer concerns on statement reconciliation and other routine questions.
• Maintains knowledge of current bank products and services.
• Processes changes to existing accounts as requested by clients.
• Assists in banking center call efforts by updating prospect lists and contacting leads.
• Accurately processes transactions including deposits, payments, transfers, etc., in a timely manner.
• Cashes checks within authority and policy.
• Sells Cashier’s Checks and Money Orders.
• Prepares daily settlement and balances cash drawer.
• Coordinates departmental tasks to ensure efficient processes.
