Job summary

Automated Equipment seeks a confident process engineer to join our onboarding team for Elektro Assemblies. You will collaborate with sales, production, customer service and the unit manager to onboard new business and customers, building estimates, quotes and proposals to support the sales process.

You will lead process improvements, develop standard work, and ensure accurate costs and margins on quoted products. Cross-functional teamwork with customers and suppliers drives profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in engineering or technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years in a technical role with similar requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven history of successful project management.
• Proven record of leading teams and people.
• Proficient at reading and interpreting prints and technical specifications.
• Experience with quoting, system maintenance: BOMs, routings, and work instructions is a plus.
• Computer literate: MS Office and ERP systems.
• Strong business acumen and ability to support a business case for growth.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and quote new opportunities to help grow sales.
• Support onboarding of new business with process and standard work development.
• Determine accurate product costs and margins on quoted products.
• Continually improve processes, lead times, and customer communications.
• Maintain timely communications with customers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with sales, production and purchasing to meet customer needs.
• Develop and manage product records including BOMs, routings and prints.
• Ensure changes are documented and communicated to stakeholders.
