Columbia Bank is seeking a Jr Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager in Fair Lawn, NJ to oversee a portfolio of commercial loans and strengthen client relationships with the Business Banking Department. The role involves coordinating with lenders, underwriting, and ensuring timely documentation and covenant monitoring.

The candidate should have a finance/Accounting/Management degree and at least 2 years in commercial banking or loan servicing, with strong Excel/Word skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, or related field.
• 2 years of related Commercial Banking and/or Loan Servicing experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to build constructive relationships with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small business banking loan portfolio and related activities.
• Collaborate with Commercial Lenders on renewals, negotiations, and documentation.
• Review maturity reports and prepare extension memos for underwriting.
• Support lenders with information needed to place a loan into underwriting.
• Coordinate across Credit, Lending, Risk and Loan Servicing during loan processes.
