Job summary

CULTA is seeking a detail-oriented packaging operator to assist in all phases of packaging, weighing, labeling, and regulatory compliance for cannabis products. The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to SOPs, and maintaining sanitary packaging areas.

You will ensure labeling meets state and federal requirements, maintain calibration of weighing equipment, and support the Inventory Manager with batch documentation and expiration tracking. Onsite work is required.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting with all phases of CULTA's packaging operations including regulatory compliance, weighing, packaging, and labeling cannabis, as well as ensuring the accuracy of packaging and labeling.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Weighing, packaging, and labeling cannabis.
  • Follow all aspects of CULTA's packaging and labeling policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accuracy of packaging and labeling.
  • Ensure no diversion of cannabis products occur and report and incidents or suspicions of diversion to the Director of Security.
  • Ensure that packaging and labeling meets the requirements of applicable state and federal laws.
  • Ensure that all containers are appropriately labeled, including secondary containers.
  • Follow SOPs on packaging and labeling are followed, maintained, and updated as needed.
  • Maintain sanitation and quality control practices that ensure the safety and quality of cannabis during the packaging and labeling process.
  • Ensure all weighing equipment are certified, calibrated, and up-to-date.
  • Ensure packaging and labeling areas are kept clean, organized, and sanitary.
  • Sanitize all packaging and labeling equipment and tools including workspace, utensils, containers, and appliances.
  • Maintains quality control measures to ensure high quality product.
  • Assist the Inventory Manager with the weighing, packaging, labeling, and documentation of all products as well as the tracking of batch numbers, lot numbers, and expiration dates.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Thorough understanding of state and local medical cannabis laws and how they apply to the operations of CULTA.
  • Ability to comprehend complex legislation and apply implications on the operations of CULTA.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective time- management and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.
  • May not have a violent felony conviction or drug related offense.
  • Possesses the physical strength and stamina required to stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be 21 or older.
  • Must be able to pass all applicable background checks.
