Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join their team in Jay, Oklahoma. In this full-time role, you will work closely with the lead teacher to create engaging and appropriate learning experiences for preschool children, including those with disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or G.E.D. and experience with preschool children. A CDA credential is preferred. This position offers a pay range of $13.53 to $14.24 per hour and a chance to promote parent involvement in education.

Title: Assistant Teacher

General Summary of what the position does: This position works as a part of a teaching team to partner with the teacher/lead teacher in developing activities for preschool (Head Start) children to provide them with varied experiences and an appropriate learning environment. Works with typically developing children and children with disabilities. Assists the teacher in carrying out the goals, policies, and activities designed to implement educational objectives and performance standards. Works with families to promote parent involvement in the program. Additional duties may be assigned based upon program need and areas of developing expertise. May be reassigned to various classrooms/centers as deemed necessary for program operations.

Requirements

Minimum requirement is high school diploma or G.E.D. plus some experience working with preschool children. A current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is preferred.
