Job summary

TaraVista Behavioral Health is seeking a Group Therapist to join our inpatient treatment team in Devens, Massachusetts. This full-time role (40 hours, days) offers direct patient care, group leadership, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds a Clinical Master’s degree, licensure is preferred, and experience with Trauma Informed Care, CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing is required. EHR experience with Medsphere/Vista is expected.

Qualifications

• Clinical Master’s degree required; license preferred (LMHC, LICSW, OT or comparable).
• Advanced level knowledge and experience in leading groups in a behavioral health setting.
• Experience with Trauma Informed Care, CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinical programming to behavioral health patients in an acute inpatient setting; opportunities to work with adult, adolescent, or child units.
• Lead groups on all units and participate in treatment team meetings.
• Collaborate with Director of Social Work and unit leadership to develop topics and group schedules.
• Contribute to patient care as an active member of the multidisciplinary team.

Group Therapist, Full time, 40 hours, Days

As a Group Therapist for TaraVista in Devens, Massachusetts, you’ll bring your experience and knowledge where your voice matters. A Group Therapist is an integral part of our multidisciplinary treatment team. You will provide direct care and support to our patients and help guide decisions that impact the lives of your peers, your patients, and your community. In exchange, we will care for you, as much as you care for our patients. Joining our Group Therapy team as a per diem member will open the door to future full-time positions, especially as The Vistas begin to open intensive outpatient programming in the area.

As a Group Therapist:

• You provide and coordinate clinical programming to behavioral health patients in an acute inpatient setting, with opportunities to work on adult, adolescent or child units as well as with a variety of diagnostic presentations.
• You utilize Trauma Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing throughout the group program curriculum.
• You work with the hospital's Director of Social Work as well as unit leadership to develop appropriate group topics and coordinate group schedules.
• You are responsible for leading groups on all units.
• You will be an active member of the treatment team, participate in treatment team meetings, and will engage with other members as required for good patient care.

The Group Therapist will have the following:

• Clinical Master’s degree in a related field required; license is preferred (LMHC, LICSW, OT or comparable can be considered).
• Advanced level knowledge and experience in leading groups in a behavioral health setting.
• Knowledge and experience with group leadership, Trauma Informed Care, CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
• Demonstrate competency in the areas listed and possess the knowledge base, skill and ability to work in an acute inpatient setting.
• Sufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Health Record; experience with Electronic Health Record including Medsphere/Vista.

Pay Range

Compensation will be determined based based on the candidate’s relevant experience and licensure.

$64,000 - $73,000
