Job summary

Allendale Behavioral Health in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a compassionate Group Therapist to provide therapeutic programming for adults in inpatient mental health care. You'll work with an interdisciplinary team to deliver stabilization, skill-building, and recovery.

Responsibilities include facilitating groups, assessments, crisis intervention, and collaborative treatment planning. A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or psychology with Indiana licensure (LCSW/LMHC/LSW) or progress toward

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related behavioral health field.
• Active Indiana licensure such as LCSW, LSW, LMHC, LMHCA, LMFT, LMFTA, LCAC, LCACA, or PsyD.
• Associate-level clinicians are encouraged to apply and work toward full licensure.
• Experience in mental health, psychiatric, behavioral health, or substance use treatment preferred.
• Strong group facilitation, clinical assessment, and crisis intervention skills.

• Establish rapport with patients and identify individual treatment needs.
• Monitor patient participation and progress and communicate observations with the treatment team.
• Provide education and therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient needs.
• Support patients experiencing emotional or behavioral crises, including suicide risk and self-harm concerns.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, and behavioral health staff.
• Participate in treatment planning, team meetings, and ongoing clinical programming.

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Setting: Inpatient Mental Health & Psychiatric Treatment

Come join the clinical team at Allendale Behavioral Health and help adults navigate some of life’s toughest challenges. We are seeking a compassionate Group Therapist to provide therapeutic programming for adults receiving inpatient mental health and psychiatric care. You’ll work alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team to create a safe, supportive environment focused on stabilization, skill-building, and recovery.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related behavioral health field
• Active Indiana licensure such as LCSW, LSW, LMHC, LMHCA, LMFT, LMFTA, LCAC, LCACA, or PsyD
• Associate-level clinicians are encouraged to apply. We welcome candidates who are actively working toward independent licensure and committed to obtaining full licensure within a reasonable timeframe
• Experience in mental health, psychiatric, behavioral health, or substance use treatment preferred
