Job summary

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. is seeking a reservations sales specialist to sell Norwegian Cruise Line group and individual travel directly to consumers by phone, building relationships and driving revenue.

You will present products, respond to inquiries, qualify leads, and close sales while delivering superior service. A high school diploma and 1 year of sales experience are required; cruise sales experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Promote sales to direct consumers by initiating calls and following up on leads to identify travel needs.
  • Present and explain NCL products and provide travel recommendations.
  • Build and maintain relationships through exceptional service and rapport.
  • Follow up with consumers to close sales.
  • Research and resolve reservation inquiries for group and individual bookings.
  • Answer questions and handle bookings for group and individual travelers.
  • Maintain prospect lists to identify travel trends and opportunities.
  • Promote group reservations based on client history and needs.
  • Acquire product knowledge to articulate features, pricing, and promotions, including upgrades and onboard credits.
  • Contact and qualify direct group leads and forward group contracts to guests.
  • Help maintain relationships with group leaders and guests.
  • Attend daily team meetings and trainings to ensure effective sales techniques.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.

Job Summary
  • Responsible for selling Norwegian Cruise Line reservations directly to consumers by cultivating and maintaining customer relationships.
  • This entails making phone calls with the intent of promoting and selling group reservations, driving direct group and individual reservations and sales ensuring a superior customer service experience..
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Promote sales to direct consumers by initiating calls and acting on leads and/or prospects in order to identify travel needs.
  • Present and explain Norwegian Cruise Line products and make travel recommendations.
  • Establish and maintain quality customer relationships by delivering exceptional customer service, establishing rapport, and identifying and meeting customer needs and expectations.
  • Follow up with consumers in order to close sales.
  • Research and resolve general and specific reservation inquiries.
  • This includes general questions, latitude information, related amenities, etc). for group and individual bookings.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with new and existing consumers.
  • Maintain consumer prospect lists/contact database in order to identify customer's travel trends.
  • Seek opportunities to promote and sell group reservations based on client travel history.
  • Acquire in depth industry and company knowledge in order to articulate product features, benefits, pricing and make recommendations to include promotions, itineraries, and auxiliary products such as stateroom upgrades, onboard credits and other shipboard amenities.
  • Contact direct group leads and qualify them based on their group's needs and requests.
  • Make recommendations and secure, allocate, and book group space and forward group contract to direct guest.
  • Maintain a relationship with group leader and individual group guest.
  • Attend and actively participate in daily team meetings or relevant sales trainings in order to ensure appropriate sales techniques are being used and accurate information is being communicated to direct consumers.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field of study preferred
EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 1 year sales experience required.
  • Cruise sales experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills in order to effectively communicate with direct guests on the telephone and internally
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of Norwegian Cruise Line products, including current fleet and ship itineraries
  • Proven record of excellent customer service and retention skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and work efficiently in a high energy sales environment that is goal and/or quota driven
  • Problem solving, research, and resolution skills
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to think through solutions is required in order to balance the interest of the guests and guest satisfaction while ensuring revenue and adherence to Norwegian's program guidelines
  • Adherence to dress code is strictly enforced
