The Role

Chetola Resort is seeking a driven and strategic Group Sales Manager to help continue the resort’s legacy of exceptional experiences and service for group clientele. The Group Sales Manager will be responsible for securing and growing group business across market segments, supporting sales strategies, and helping shape the future of events and group offerings at the resort. This role blends strong sales performance with elevated, Forbes‑level hospitality standards, ensuring every interaction is warm, personalized, and executed with precision. Success in this role means not only achieving revenue goals, but delivering a seamless, high‑touch experience that reflects Chetola’s commitment to excellence at every stage of the client journey.

What You’ll Do
Sales Strategy & Execution
  • Proactively solicit group business across multiple market segments with professionalism and confidence
  • Maintain and grow client relationships through consistent, thoughtful, and personalized engagement
  • Follow up on sales leads with urgency and attention to detail, converting inquiries into confirmed bookings
  • Conduct market research and analyze trends to inform strategies and maximize bookings
  • Track and achieve monthly and annual booking goals in partnership with the Director of Sales
Client Engagement & Collaboration
  • Represent the resort with a warm, sincere, and polished presence in every interaction—whether in person, over the phone, or in writing
  • Anticipate client needs before they are expressed and tailor recommendations to create a personalized experience
  • Conduct site tours that reflect a high standard of readiness, professionalism, and pride in the property
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with clients and internal teams to ensure a seamless, stress‑free experience
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Front Office, F&B, Spa, and Marketing teams to deliver cohesive and elevated group experiences
  • Maintain composure and grace under pressure, ensuring exceptional service even in fast‑paced or high‑demand situations
Operations & Administration
  • Utilize property management and sales systems to manage leads, bookings, and client details with accuracy and organization
  • Prepare detailed and polished proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders (BEOs) that reflect professionalism and clarity
  • Ensure all event details are communicated precisely across departments to support flawless execution
  • Provide reporting on account activity and key performance metrics
  • Support the development of sales materials and promotional tools that align with the resort’s brand and standards
  • Uphold all resort policies, procedures, and service expectations with consistency and accountability
Attention to Detail in Action
  • Deliver a warm and sincere first impression in every client interaction, setting the tone for the entire experience
  • Anticipate needs and proactively address potential gaps before they impact the client or guest experience
  • Maintain precise, organized, and timely documentation with zero errors or missed details
  • Ensure seamless handoffs across departments so the client experience feels effortless and cohesive
  • Review contracts, BEOs, and billing thoroughly to ensure complete accuracy and clarity
  • Present all communications—emails, proposals, and materials—with polish, professionalism, and brand consistencyObserve the property with a critical eye during site tours, ensuring all spaces reflect excellence and readiness
  • Follow through on every commitment, reinforcing trust and delivering a consistently elevated experience

Requirements
  • Previous experience in a hotel or resort setting is required
  • Prior experience in sales is strongly preferred
  • Experience in a luxury or upscale hospitality environment preferred
  • Familiarity with sales systems and property management software is a plus
  • Must be able to work on‑site with a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends
