Caterpillar Inc. in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Senior Production Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations for C175 Blocks in the Lafayette Engine Center.
You will oversee night shift leaders and front-line supervisors to drive safety, schedule adherence, and quality across shifts. You will implement PQVC improvements, coach leaders, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines while delivering measures to meet Build to Plan targets and on-time delivery.

The Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) is part of Caterpillar's Power & Energy segment. Through this global organization, Caterpillar designs and manufactures large (greater than 18 liters) diesel and natural gas engines, powertrains and key engine systems. The Senior Production Manager is accountable for and leads the day-to-day manufacturing operations for C175 Blocks across all shifts in Lafayette Engine Center's machine shop. Direct reports would include group managers across night shift operations, as well as additional front line leaders, including lead production managers.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organization's performance management system, practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance.
Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
(extensive experience): Knowledge of manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products.
(extensive experience): Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.
(extensive experience): Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.
$147,760.00 - $221,640.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
