Goddard Riverside’s Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center on the Upper West Side of Manhattan is seeking a Group Leader for its After School Program. The role focuses on homework help, STEM, literacy, art, and social-emotional learning for children aged 5–12.

Reports to the Youth Programs Assistant Director and starts immediately through June 18, 2026, with potential for Summer Camp 2026. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–6:00pm with occasional meetings, trainings, and full/half days.

Job description

Intro/Program Description: Goddard Riverside’s Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center (LSNC), a community center located in the Amsterdam Houses and Amsterdam Addition on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, has been offering programs for children and their families for over 65 years. Currently, LSNC operates an After School Program and Summer Camp for children ages 5 through 12 offering academic support, cultural enrichment, and physical fitness programs.
Purpose of Position: Group Leaders are assigned to work with a group of children, broken down by age, on various tasks including homework help, STEM, literacy, Art and social-emotional competencies. Group Leaders report to the LSNC Youth Programs Assistant Director. Together, our staff works to provide a positive and creative learning environment for the social and intellectual development of all participants.
After School Program Position Start Date: Immediate Position End Date: June 18th, 2026
Potential to be hired for Summer Camp 2026, pending interest & performance evaluation.
Schedule: Monday-Friday Afterschool, 2:00pm– 6:00pm; Additional hours for meetings and trainings & some Full Days & Half Days
Hourly Rate: $17.50/hr
