Job summary

You will shape architectures, oversee implementation, and drive delivery of integrated software for mission-critical systems in defense and space domains. Candidates should have a degree in engineering, 5–7 years of experience leading large embedded software teams, and a Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in engineering design, development, and management of complex systems.
• Prior experience leading medium and large teams through full-lifecycle development of embedded software, preferably in mission-critical or safety-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Shape a talented workforce and develop differentiating capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal groups, Draper Program Offices, Customers/Sponsors, other Draper groups, and external technical community.
• Develop and implement strategic plans and technology roadmaps with Customers/Sponsors.
• Promote and direct R&D activities and guide collaborations with universities and internship programs.
• Support staff growth through reviews and mentorship, and manage career development.
