Job summary

STAR, Inc. in Norwalk, CT is seeking a committed Group Home Manager to oversee one of our group homes, apartments or supported living locations. You will ensure residents are cared for, safe, and supported to live as independently as possible.

You will train and supervise house staff, work with the Director of Residential Services and other professionals to implement individual plans, and engage families to ensure a happy, meaningful life for residents.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Supervising experience required.
Connecticut state driver's license required.
Strong multitasking ability required.
Compassion and ability to see potential in residents required.
Positive, team-oriented attitude required.

Responsibilities

Oversee residents at the group home to ensure they are properly cared for, safe and happy.
Directly train and supervise all house staff to meet residents' needs and required trainings.
Collaborate with the Director of Residential Services, nurse consultants, DDS case managers, behavior consultants and others to implement individual plans.
Engage with families/guardians to ensure their loved one is living a happy, meaningful life.
