Job summary

Easterseals Southern California in California seeks a compassionate caregiver to support adults with developmental disabilities in a licensed residential home. You will assist with daily living activities and outings to promote independence and skills development.

Responsibilities include personal care, meal support, medication monitoring, and documenting progress. Possibly driving for appointments and engaging residents in activities; CPR/CPI/First Aid certifications are required or obtainable

Qualifications

1-2 years of caregiving experience in a licensed setting.
Experience with residents who have developmental disabilities and behavioral issues.
Must pass post-offer medical examination and TB test.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care for residents including eating, hygiene, showering and bedtime prep.
Assist with meals per dietary restrictions; support G-tube feeding if needed.
Assist in administration and monitoring of medications.
Care and cleaning of the residential home, including housekeeping and laundering.
Conduct daily activities to develop living skills per IPP/ISP; provide engagement.
Complete daily reports and attend required trainings and meetings.
May transport individuals using a company vehicle; participate in recreational activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
