Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a Group Exercise/Personal Trainer to lead safe, engaging group fitness classes and deliver a high-quality wellness center experience. CPR certification is required, along with strong wellness knowledge and excellent communication to motivate members and ensure safety.

Responsibilities include providing quality classes, maintaining safety, planning sessions for diverse populations, and representing the Wellness Center in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge and skills needed to serve a variety of populations.
• Must have the communication and organizational skills essential to lead a class.
• Must plan appropriate classes for the population.
• Must represent the Wellness Center at all times.
• Must have close physical contact with students and must have the ability to interact in a professional and caring manner.
• Must be able to lead groups and provide individual assistance.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must have a positive attitude is to promote member satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

• Ensures excellent customer service by providing quality group exercise classes to the members.
• Takes responsibility for the safety, security and well- being of class members.
• Posesses ability to identify and handle emergencies.
• Maintains updated, proficient teaching skills that are motivating, challenging, safe and enjoyable.
• Supports other coworkers by attending their classes and substituting when possible.
