Job summary

Town of Oro Valley is seeking a part-time group fitness instructor to lead scheduled classes under supervision. The role includes warm-up, instruction on proper techniques, and ensuring a safe, engaging environment for participants.

You will prepare music and handouts, assist patrons, and uphold facility policies while delivering energetic, effective workouts. CPR/First Aid/AED and ACE or AFAA certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current CPR, First Aid and AED certification.
• Certified Instructor with ACE or AFAA or equivalent.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Teaches scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time; provides warm-up, workout, stretching and cool down.
• Instructs patrons on effective workout methods; explains techniques and demonstrates exercises.
• Prepares equipment, music and handouts for each class.
• Assists patrons and maintains a positive exercise experience for members and participants.
• Keeps management informed of customer and facility needs.
• Ensures safety standards and policies are followed.
• Performs related duties as required.
