Acts Retirement-Life Communities is seeking a Fitness Trainer to motivate residents toward better fitness and wellbeing. You will coordinate fitness and recreational events, design individual and group programs, and ensure safety while updating offerings to current industry trends.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, 2+ years of experience in senior living fitness, and relevant certifications (ACE/ACSM, CPR/AED). Great benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in exercise science, physical education, allied health sciences, or a related human services field.
• Minimum of two years' experience in personal training or group fitness instruction within a senior living setting.
• Current certification from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) or the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) or enrolled by 6th month.
• Current CPR and AED certifications.
• Additional state-required certifications (Lifeguard, Pool Operator, First Aid) as needed.

Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Fitness Trainer position.

In this role, you will be responsible for motivating and encouraging participants to reach their full potential in terms of fitness and overall wellbeing. Assists with coordinating all events of the fitness and recreational programs, including initiating and implementing individual and group exercise programs and recreational programs, maintaining standards of safety, and managing quality improvement by updating programming to stay current with industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in exercise science, physical education, allied health sciences, or a related human services field
• Minimum of two years' experience in personal training or group fitness instruction within a senior living setting
• Current certification from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) or the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) (or must be enrolled by the sixth month of employment and completed within one year of hire date)
• Current certification from the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA), as needed
• Current CPR and AED certifications
• Additional certifications may be required in accordance with State laws, such as Lifeguard, Pool Operator, and First Aid

Pay Range

$20.60 - $25.22 / hour. Starting rate will vary based on skills and experience.
