Job summary

Fitometry Health Club in Ridgewood, NJ seeks a dynamic fitness instructor to lead engaging classes across Spin, Yoga, Pilates, Dance, Strength, and more. You will design workouts, choose music, and ensure safe, fun sessions that motivate members.

Requirements include excellent communication, group-class teaching experience, a current Group Fitness certification (ACE, AFAA, or NASM), AED/CPR, and the ability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Familiarity with fitness tech is a plus.

Are you a fitness enthusiast who enjoys sharing your knowledge in a fun and engaging way through class instruction? You could be the ideal candidate for our next fitness instructor! Our fitness club is new, and we need someone to lead and instruct our members in innovative and enjoyable classes. Looking for all disciplines including Spin, Yoga, Pilates, Dance, Strength, and Combat.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that classes are fun and engaging while also being physically challenging and safe for participants.
• Employ the use of social media and networking to promote studio programs, classes, and new memberships.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in accordance with business policies.
• Motivate customers to continue exercising and help make healthy choices.
• Create your own workouts for the class, select music, practice their routines before the scheduled program, and develop alternative movements for members who need additional assistance.

Qualifications

• Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers.
• Possesses strong, organizational and time management skills.
• Must have a strong focus on putting the guest first with exceptional customer service experience.
• 1+ year(s) of experience teaching groups.
• Group Fitness certification from ACE, AFAA, or NASM.
• Background in Spin, Aerobics, Cross fit, Combative Arts, Dance, or other fitness genre.
• Comfortable utilizing technology.
• AED/CPR Required.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, and weekends.
