Job summary

Crunch Fitness is seeking a Group Fitness Instructor to lead engaging, safe, and inclusive classes for members in Mobile, AL. You will deliver multi-level workouts, maintain certifications, and uphold Crunch standards while delivering high-energy sessions.

Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year of group fitness experience, strong verbal communication, and a customer-service mindset. The role offers opportunities for growth within a fast-paced, community-focused gym environment.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year of group fitness experience.
• Experience leading multi-level classes for all fitness levels.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Instruct safe and effective exercise classes.
• Maintain all mandatory education and certification requirements.
• Understand and follow all policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the Crunch brand and model behavior in alignment with the Crunch mission statement.
• Address member requests or forward them to a manager as needed.
• Maintain a professional disposition at all times.
• Follow all club and facility policies and procedures.
• Attend Crunch Instructor training and deliver classes according to Crunch class format guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills

Certifications

• General Class Formats: Nationally accredited group fitness certification required (ACE, AFAA, or NASM).
• Specialty Class Formats (Barre, Group Cycling, Pilates, TRX, Yoga, Zumba, etc.): Valid format-specific certifications recognized and accredited by the organizations above.
  • Crunch does not accept Les Mills, Mossa, Beach Body, Insanity, or other pre-choreographed formats.
• CPR/AED certification required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to adjust and operate all club equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and engage in physical activity, including lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing/walking.
