Job summary

Healthtrax in Raleigh is seeking a Group Fitness Director to supervise our Group Exercise Class Instructors and teach as needed. Lead and mentor staff while ensuring high-quality, MOSSA-aligned programs that engage members in a dynamic, social fitness environment.

The role emphasizes staffing, scheduling, budgeting oversight, and customer service, with a pathway to grow with the Center and its partnerships. Training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in program coordination, supervision, and group exercise instruction.
• MOSSA experience or certification preferred.
• AFFA/IDEA/ACSM/NASM or equivalent national certification.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification is required.
• Willingness to train and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Staffing and directing the area’s most talented fitness instructors and building camaraderie among the team.
• Scheduling a wide variety of class offerings to appeal to a diverse member base.
• Increasing class participation to improve member retention.
• Managing member and staff inquiries or complaints in a timely manner.
• Monitoring class participation and cost per head, payroll, and budgets accurately.
• Collaborating with Center staff, management, company representatives, and service providers to deliver programs people love.
