Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in North Chesterfield, VA is hiring a Group Facilitator for our new inpatient detox and residential facility. You will lead group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups tailored to each client’s challenges and recovery goals.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor's degree in psychology or counseling, at least one year of treatment experience, Virginia CSAC licensure, and a commitment to recovery principles with strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or related field preferred.
• Min. one year experience in treatment industry preferred.
• Valid licensure to practice as a clinician in Virginia - CSAC.
• If in recovery, one year of sustained sobriety required.
• Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups.
• Assist clients in developing healthy coping skills and recovery tools.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to monitor client progress.
• Escalate significant concerns to Clinical Director.
• Maintain thorough documentation of group sessions and client charts.

Now Hiring a Group Facilitator for our new inpatient detox and residential facility in North Chesterfield, VA!

• What You'll Do
  • Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to meet each client's challenges and needs
  • Assist clients in developing healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools
  • Collaborate consistently with clinical staff to keep track of client challenges and progress
  • Escalate any significant client concerns to Clinical Director
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all group sessions conducted
  • Ensure all clinical assessments and individual client charting is completed
• What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or related field preferred
  • Min. one year experience in treatment industry preferred
  • Valid licensure necessary to practice as a clinician in this state- CSAC
  • If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills
