Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in North Chesterfield, VA, is hiring a Group Facilitator for its inpatient detox and residential facility. The role focuses on leading group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups to support client challenges and progress.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in psychology or counseling, has at least one year in the treatment field, and possesses valid VA licensure (CSAC). Strong interpersonal skills, presence, and trust-building are essential to guide

• Minimum one year experience in treatment industry.
• Valid licensure to practice as a clinician in VA – CSAC.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety.
• Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills.
• Strong presence and sound judgment.
• Warm, dignified and honest character that inspires trust and models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to meet each client's challenges and needs.
• Assist clients in developing healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools.
• Collaborate consistently with clinical staff to track client challenges and progress.
• Escalate significant client concerns to Clinical Director.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all group sessions conducted.
• Ensure all clinical assessments and individual client charting is completed.

Now Hiring a Group Facilitator for our new inpatient detox and residential facility in North Chesterfield, VA!

What You'll Do

• Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to meet each client's challenges and needs

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or related field preferred
