Job summary

Monte Nido Parsippany is seeking a full-time Group Facilitator in Parsippany, NJ. You will lead structured clinical groups, support meals and snacks, and assist with daily client care within a multidisciplinary eating-disorder treatment program.

The role emphasizes safety, therapeutic milieu, and collaboration with clinical teams to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to program standards. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or another related field.
• Prior experience treating those with eating disorders in a residential or inpatient setting is very helpful.
• Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.

Responsibilities

• Group Therapy & Milieu-Based Work: Plan, structure, and facilitate clinical groups (e.g., CBT/DBT skills, coping strategies, relapse prevention).
• Meal & Snack Support: Participates in and monitors daily meals and snacks, providing calm, supportive encouragement.
• Daily Client Care Support: Direct client care within the program, check-ins, and skill-use support.

Monte Nido Parsippany, located in Parsippany, NJ, is a primary eating disorder day treatment program for adults and adolescents seeking treatment for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction. Through partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programming, clients participate in group and individual therapy, benefit from Monte Nido’s clinical, medical, psychiatric, and nutritional expertise, and experience real-life challenges.

The roleis responsible forprovidinghigh-qualitypatient care within a therapeutic milieu, supporting individuals with eating disorders through structured programming, safety monitoring, therapeutic meal support, and group facilitation. This position collaborates closely with the clinical, medical, and nursing teams to ensure patient safety, emotional support, and adherence to program standards while upholding the mission and values of Monte Nido.

We are seeking a fulll-time Group Facilitator to join our Monte Nido team.

Pay: $21 - $28/hr

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Responsibilities Include:

Group Therapy & Milieu-Based Work

• Plan, structure, andfacilitate clinical groups(e.g., CBT/DBT skills, coping strategies, relapse prevention)
• Adapt group content to the client's level of functioning and treatment goals
• Maintain group safety, boundaries, and engagement
• Collaborate with the treatment team to integrate group work into the overall care plans

Meal & Snack Support

• Participates in and monitors daily meals and snacks, facilitating the pre-meal and post-meal process
• Provide calm, supportive encouragement/redirection around food
• Follow established meal support protocols (under the direction of the clinical/dietary team)

Daily Client Care Support

• Providedirect client carewithin the program setting (e.g., check-ins, support around skills use, brief interventions, meal support)
• Participate in milieu support
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
