Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health seeks a Group Facilitator for PHP & IOP levels of care at our Greenwich, CT location. The role involves leading groups, providing psychoeducation, and supporting the treatment team with timely documentation.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree (Master's in progress preferred) and understand confidentiality laws. Travel to other facilities for trainings may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Program Director/Clinical Director to aid therapy program development.
• Facilitate groups, workshops, and educational sessions as scheduled.
• Complete all group notes immediately after each session.
• Document all services in patients' medical records.
• Know company policies and Joint Commission standards.

The Group Facilitator is responsible for facilitating groups at the outpatient level of care (PHP & IOP). The Group Facilitator participates in de-escalation or crisis intervention when necessary. The facilitator communicates pertinent information to the primary treatment team as needed.

Essential Job Functions

• Collaborates with Program Director and/or Clinical Director and other professional staff to help develop comprehensive program of therapy, evaluation and treatment.
• Facilitates groups, workshops, and educational groups as directed by the program schedule.
• Responsible for completing all group notes immediately after each group.
• Document all services provided in patients' medical record.
• Knowledge of company policy and procedures, and Joint Commission standards and regulations.
• Adheres to all regulations and documentation requirements in regard to patient care and compliance of all patient care.
• Assesses suicidality and possibility for danger to self or others.
• Provides psychoeducation to patients, as needed.
• Attends meals and models appropriate eating behaviors with patients, as assigned.
• May be required to travel to other facilities to attend trainings.

Knowledge, Education, Experience

• Bachelor's Degree, preferred
• May be working toward Masters degree to become a therapist
• Must understand the therapeutic process, understand confidentiality laws, and have strong knowledge of professional ethics.
• Successful candidate must submit to post offer, physical examination/medical history check, and TB test.
• Must have valid CA driver's license and liability insurance if driving a personal vehicle on our property.

Employment Status: Full-time

Schedule: 11am-7pm, Monday-Friday
