Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking part-time group exercise instructors to lead Body Pump classes in Richmond, Virginia. Flexibility in scheduling is important, including evenings and some weekends to meet member needs.

Qualified applicants hold a current, nationally recognized group exercise certification and current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications. Prior Body Pump teaching experience is a plus and will support safety and motivation for participants.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, nationally recognized group exercise certification (documentation required).
• CPR, AED and First Aid certifications current.
• Experience teaching Body Pump or other group fitness classes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach Body Pump classes and ensure participant safety.
• Engage participants and provide options to accommodate varying fitness levels.
• Maintain flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.

Job description

The Tuckahoe Family YMCA is currently seeking part time enthusiastic, group exercise instructors to teach our Les Mills Body Pump classes! Group Exercise Instructor pay range is $20-$23 per hour and Advance Group Exercise Instructor pay range is $27-$31 per hour.

DUTIES of a Group Exercise Instructor (Body Pump)

Group exercise instructors should be able to work flexible hours to meet members' needs, including evenings and some weekends.
