Job summary

Carilion Wellness Roanoke is seeking a Group Exercise Instructor to lead a variety of exercise classes at our Roanoke facility. This role supports safe, motivating workouts with a friendly attitude and adherence to department guidelines. Training and ongoing workshops are provided to keep classes fresh and engaging.

Education is basic health/fitness knowledge with no prior experience required. Must hold a Carilion Wellness approved group exercise certification before hire and be able to guide

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of health and fitness required.
• No experience needed.
• Must possess a Carilion Wellness approved group exercise certification prior to hire (e.g. Les Mills, Zumba, Barre Above, NBFE/NCCA approved).
• Ability to instruct exercises to a group with confidence; knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to exercise and safety.

What We Require:

Education: Basic knowledge of health and fitness is required.

Experience: none

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Must possess a Carilion Wellness approved group exercise certification prior to hire (e.g. Les Mills, Zumba, Barre Above, or a NCCA-accredited or NBFE approved organization).

Other Minimum Qualifications: Ability to instruct exercises in a confident manner to a group of people. Demonstrates a knowledge and understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body as it relates to exercise and safety precautions.

Compensation Range:

$15.00 - $19.00

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
