Job summary

HRG is seeking a detail-oriented Group Manager | Site Design for our State College, PA office. You will lead a team of professionals to deliver subdivision and land development projects with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.

As an employee-owned firm, HRG emphasizes coaching, collaboration, and robust project budgeting. This role requires travel to job sites and other offices as needed, with a strong emphasis on leadership and strategic growth within the ESOP-enabled organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• PA P.E. License and/or Landscape Architect License
• 7+ years in subdivision, land planning, and land development engineering including site layout and design, grading, utility design, storm water management, erosion control, and permit applications and engineering reports
• Project management and project team supervisory experience
• Understanding of municipal review, approval process, and ordinance application
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Basic knowledge of computerized project management systems such as Deltek Vantagepoint and various engineering applications
• Experience in client relations, proposal preparation, project budgeting, and public presentations
• Demonstrates excellent leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skills
• Effective utilization of Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting tools
• Flexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices (overnight stays)
• Valid US Driver’s License
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

• Leadership & Coaching: Inspire and coach group members to enhance our employee-owner culture and drive engagement in their professional development
• Project Management: Ensure timely and superior project delivery while collaborating across service groups
• Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure long-term partnerships and satisfaction
• Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, prioritize workloads, and ensure fiscal responsibility
• Collaboration: Work closely with Operations and Service AVPs to address staffing, resource allocation, and operational efficiency
