Wright Tree Service, Inc. in Decatur, IL seeks a Groundworker to support field operations. The role involves chainsaw work, loading debris, and assisting with chipper operations in a full-time, non-exempt capacity.

Applicants must be able to work outdoors in all weather, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and pass a pre-employment drug test with a valid driver’s license. Sign-on bonuses apply for CDL and non-CDL drivers.

Qualifications

• Must wear required PPE and work in varied weather.
• Able to read, understand, and follow written instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication with crew members.
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally and 30 pounds frequently.
• Ability to work long hours and overtime during emergencies (storm work).

Responsabilités

• Operate a chainsaw to cut brush, logs and stumps from ground level.
• Load/unload trucks with logs, brush, and debris; feed brush into chipper.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and trucks in a clean, orderly manner.
• Work around hazardous equipment and loud environments; wear PPE.
• Assist with herbicide applications on stumps and brush when required.
• Support crew leadership and uphold safety practices on site.
• May drive a truck with attached chipper or trailing equipment.
