Job summary

Lewis Services is seeking a Groundperson to support vegetation management for utility partners and other clients. You'll assist tree crews, operate gear, and help ensure safety on site while traveling to multiple job sites, sometimes overnight.

Your role emphasizes outdoor work, physical fitness, and teamwork, with training and certifications provided by Lewis. This is a full-time, on-site position offering competitive pay and ESOP benefits.

Qualifications

• Groundperson certification (or ability to complete)
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physical ability to hike, lift 50 lbs., and handle tools
• Valid driver's license (CDL preferred)
• CPR/First Aid certification provided by Lewis
• Herbicide applicator certification (or ability to complete)
• Team player attitude, adaptability, and a strong work ethic
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations

Responsibilities

• Assist ground crews by clearing vegetation and debris around work sites
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment like chainsaws, chippers, blowers, and sprayers
• Assist climbers by spotting from the ground and handing up tools
• Assist with rigging and felling of trees
• Maintain safety for colleagues and the public around work areas
• Travel frequently to different job sites, including overnight stays
• Participate in safety briefings and follow safety protocols
