Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a Groundskeeper to join the Burnet Campus Grounds team on a day shift. This full-time role supports safe, clean, and welcoming outdoor spaces across campus, including garages, parking lots, lawns, and walkways.

Responsibilities include restriping garages, turf maintenance, snow and ice removal, pruning, bed care, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required; pesticide license may be pursued if needed.

Qualifications

• No directly related experience.
• Participation in obtaining Pesticide Applicators Service License if necessary.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Groundskeeping tasks include restriping garages and parking areas, maintaining turf, and snow/ice removal to keep areas safe and accessible.
• Assist with planting beds and pruning; adhere to infection control and safety policies; maintain cleanliness of grounds across campus.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Groundskeeping- Restripe all garages and parking lots and special designated areas on CCHMC campus locations. Maintain/ enhance turf areas with proper mowing/ fertilization procedures. Remove snow and ice. Maintain parking lots and sidewalks to ensure clear and safe passages. Maintain garages for cleanliness and removal of all trash and debris. Operate grounds maintenance equipment with proficiency. Assist with pruning of trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals to provide an acceptable level of plant health and aesthetics. Participate in obtaining Pesticide Applicators Service License if necessary.
• Service- Assist with construction and maintenance of annual/ perennial beds. Provide services such as snow removal, grass cutting, pruning, and mulching. Comply with Infection Control policies and procedures.

Assist in the maintenance of all CCHMC grounds in order to provide a safe, clean, and healing environment for patients, families, and employees.
