Job summary

Thrive Communities is seeking a full-time housekeeper/porter to keep grounds and common areas neat, clean restrooms, and support unit turnover on-site. The role requires a friendly, service-oriented approach and reliability to meet residents' expectations at our Burlington, WA properties.

Schedule is Tuesday–Saturday with weekends required; a driver’s license and insurance may be needed for on-site duties, and opportunities for growth exist within the maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeper/porter or custodial experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in a customer-facing role is beneficial.
• Driver's license and insurance may be required for on-site duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds and common areas for a professional appearance.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors; clean and stock restrooms.
• Notify managers/maintenance of repairs or inventory needs.
• Collect and dispose of trash; assist with unit turnover prep after move-out.
• Exceed residents' expectations with dependable service.
• Support a positive team culture and resident satisfaction.

Pay Range: $24 - $25 per hour

Schedule: Full-time; Tuesday - Saturday Weekends required

Job Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds and and common areas to ensure a professional appearance of the property.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Clean and stock restrooms.
• Notify managers and maintenance team of necessary repairs, hazards, or low inventory items.
• Collect and dispose of trash.
• May be asked to inspect and help to prepare units after move-out and before move-in.
• Strives to exceed residents’ expectations for excellent customer service.
• Contributes to a positive team culture and happy resident base.
• Performs all additional duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager, and assists maintenance team, as needed

Desired Qualifications

• Prior housekeeper, porter, custodial, or groundskeeper experience preferred, but not required
• Prior experience in a customer service or customer facing role
• May require Driver's License and insurance (ex: operating golf cart on premise while handling grounds work and equipment)

Physical Requirements

• 100% in-person position. Must be available to be physically present at sites being supported.
• Stand, walk, crawl, bend, stoop, or sit alternatively depending on the specific needs of the day.
• Estimated 66% - 100% of time is spent on feet.
