Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a full-time groundskeeper to maintain lawns, shrubs, and outdoor areas of its campus. You will trim edges, prune vegetation, apply lawn treatments, and perform general cleaning of grounds and drainage features.

Responsibilities include snow removal, planting and watering, and basic equipment repairs. This on-site role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Prior ground keeping or maintenance experience.
• Ability to read a limited number of words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to add/subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply/divide with 10s and 100s.

Responsibilities

• Cuts lawns.
• Trims and edges around walks, flower beds, and walls.
• Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and growth.
• Sprays lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides.
• Rakes and bags leaves.
• Cleans grounds and removes litter.
• Cleans drainage ditches and culverts.
• Shovels snow from walks and driveways.
• Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs.
• Waters lawn and shrubs.
